Ezra Reich's music has been described as a rock
and roll melding of the 1980's and the 1950's, like
drinking a malted milk at a disco, or hula-hooping
in between Pac-Man tournaments. His love of
vintage synths and choppy guitars come together in
tales of broken love, sex and power, and the drives
that move the city. He brings a twist to the New
York sound and the vibe of the new millennium.
In August of 2003, Ezra Reich was one of five
artists selected out of thousands to be featured in
AOL Music's hugely popular "First Break" artist
discovery program. His song "Behind the Scenes"
from the self-released and distributed "Freeze the
Night" CD was downloaded thousands of times. In
the summer of 2004, "Behind The Scenes" was the
song chosen by Tommy Hilfiger to represent the
launch of the H Clothing Line in a national radio ad
campaign.
