LUCIANA JURY - SOLO SET
Singer, guitarist and songwriter born in the province of Buenos Aires, Luciana Jury grew up surrounded by Latin-American folk music, tango and Argentine cumbia.
The power of her voice and the feelings it conveys have brought her to the same height as artists such as Chavela Vargas, Janis Joplin and Concha Buika.
Luciana’s repertoire includes anonymous works handed down through oral transmission, songs by renowned composers such as Leonardo Favio (her uncle) Simon Diaz, Violeta Parra and Lhasa de Sela, and some of her own pieces.
Her recordings were nominated for the Carlos Gardel Awards as Best New Artist folk album, Best Album of the Year.
