Saulius Petreikis new EP "Live at Tamsta" (audio & video)

We would like to suggest Saulius Petreikis newest EP “Live at Tamsta” that was finished during the quarantine and released on 7th of May.
All four pieces were not only recorded but also shot live in the same music club “Tamsta.” Below you will find links and some information about the songs.
If you need any additional information let us know.

This EP is a strange mixture of hot and cold. It seems as if the cold Scandinavian wind has merged with Lithuanian summer breeze creating vivid musical compositions that will take you to ancient times, yet allow you to stay present - here and now. Just listen, be present and fully feel. All the pieces were recorded as a part of live performance. The EP will be available exclusively across all digital music streaming platforms.

Laisvė šaukia / Freedom is Calling - You can write, talk or sing a lot about freedom, but to avoid repetitiveness and to keep authenticity Saulius Petreikis chose to continue his path and decided to avoid text in this composition. “I always try to convey pure emotion and leave as much space possible for the listener to complete this space with their own history” - Saulius Petreikis.

Odeon: It was written by Saulius Petreikis brother Donatas. Currently he is studying saxophone and musical composition at Danish Academy of music. He draws his inspiration from Scandinavian culture which deeply roots it’s symbolism in winds and maritime climate. Odeon has a majestic sound that echoes the atmosphere of sacred places dedicated to cultivation of high arts - music, painting, sculpture, poetry...

Tears of Duduk - Now - having in mind current global situation - is the right time to be more attentive to yourself and those around you. I would like to share my new song Tears of Duduk that my brother Donatas and I wrote. More than a year ago I was in Dzūkija (region in Lithuania) where the first melody line for this song took shape. Donatas took it and found an overall sound as well as the right arrangement for it.

Laimingo laimintuo - the last composition from our EP “Live at Tamsta”. This song-ritual is about closest people. It’s a blessing and wishes for luck to our relatives: mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers.
