The SONORIS FABRICA began in 2002 when the musicians Sergio Ferraz (violin) and Leonardo Melo (acoustic guitar) , (training classical musicians, jazz and popular) held a series of concerts in Recife city capital of Pernambuco. With a repertoire of instrumental music inspired by the Iberian music, jazz and Brazilian folk music, the Sonoris plays music from established composers as well as his own compositions. Ranging from the flamenco rhythms and styles that dot the northeastern culture like baiao, Frevo and Maracatu as well as the Armorial music.

In 2003 the SONORIS FABRICA performed on stage instrumental Garanhuns Winter Festival, receiving praise from the public and the press, describing the group as "the pleasant surprise of the festival". They also participated in three editions of Recife Jazz Festival held in the courtyard of St. Peter in 2003, 2004 and December 2008 in Malakoff Tower.

Also in Recife in 2004 the group held a concert with blockbuster in the Apollo Theatre with the special guest German guitarist ULI DUMSHADIT and AHMED EL-SAMOURY, also in the same year the group participated in the soundtrack of the short film "Doces Apegos ' Director Eduardo Duarte.

During Carnival 2009 in Recife the SONORIS FABRICA did a special concert honoring the great personalities of popular culture as the master of Pernambuco maracatu and fiddler - Mestre Salustiano and composer frevo Capiba. Sonoris Fabrica is: SERGIO FERRAZ (violin), LEONARDO MELO (guitar), MARCIO SILVA (drums) CLAUDIO NEGAO (electric bass). In 2010 the Sonoris Fabrica recorded their CD at the Studio Muzak in Recife and reliased it in january of 2011 with a concert at the Teatro Santa isabel in Recife.
