The musical band was born as a joke 5 years ago at a friend's place; training and enrichment made us grown, but we always maintained the desire to have fun, dance and entertain our friend.

Initially the band was just an alter ego of the homonym cultural association. Nowadays it gained a well defined identity and moves independently from the activities of the association.
The band focuses on Pizzica Pizzica, a traditional expression of Salento region. We aim to evade the strict boundaries of revival, bringing a new - yet "true" for of this wonderful traditional coreo/musical phenomenon. But not only. The band also performs Salentinian smooth chants or other areas' traditional piece.

We treasured years of experience working with many actors of the Southern Italy's folk scene such as Anna Dimitri (Famous Actress and Folk Singer) andRoberto Gemma (Ensemble Notte della Taranta). Both worked for many years with the traditions and music of Salento and Greece.

A theatrical musical titled Salentìa was staged in 2015 by the band, along with their precious help, direction and guide. It involved 50 musicians (pro and non pro). This collaboration has also led, in 2014, our participation in the Festival Gricanti in Corigliano d'Otranto.

And again, with their help, the band released its first album: Lu Cuntu, in June 2016. It merges the ancient and the modern way of thinking of traditional Salento's music.

Our family is not "complete" without mentioning our dancing chorus
