DORE is a Brooklyn based Haitian band that plays compas. Our goal is to create enjoyable tunes for the music lover who enjoys dancing, singing, and listening. DORE's sound is a creative blend of traditional compas mixed with Hip Hop, Funk, Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Rock, Reggae and traditional elements that originate from the African continent. Through our music, DORE aims to shine a positive light on artistic Haitian culture around the world. Leading us in these efforts is lead vocalist and songwriter, the soulfully authentic Samuel Menard. Before co-founding DORE with Fritz Francois, he was one of the lead-vocalists for the internationally famous Haitian band "Tropicana". In the discography of Dore, one hears the descriptive and socially conscious lyrics that have caught the attention of many throughout Haitian communities all over the world. The other members of the band include Junel "J-Maestro" Pierre, the coordinating maestro whom also is a songwriter, arranger, and keyboard player. Playing keyboards is Jordany Petit-Frere, Alix Pierre is "the man" on the drums and on percussions, we have Wedley Cetout.

Look for DORE, soon to be released, debut Album titled "KENBE LA".
It is schedule to be released in the fall of 2011.
