This latest album is being produced by the legendary, multiple grammy award winning engineer JON FAUSTY. Mr. Fausty is most recognized for his work with such artist as Eddie Palmieri, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz and Ruben Blades. 'SALSA SYSTEM' will feature 10 new all original songs by Bio Ritmo. A rare treat in the world of Salsa music today.

Bio Ritmo recaptures the purity of intent and spirit of experimentation that have gone unmatched in Salsa music since the late 1970’s when great innovators like Roberto Roena, Larry Harlow, Willie Colon and Bobby Valentin created some of their most outstanding works. The Salsa Machine, as Bio Ritmo collectively call themselves, writes songs using essential elements from this golden age, respecting tradition
while embracing the concept of artistic exploration that once gave Salsa its strength. Their music is just the right blend of heavy Afro-Cuban and Puerto Rican beats, soul-searching lyrics, and intricate classic jazz harmonies, which are the most important ingredients for great Nuyorican style Salsa.

Owing their chemistry to fourteen years of performing and recording experience, each of the nine members of Bio Ritmo contributes a distinct voice, with backgrounds as varied as punk, jazz, reggae and classical music. They stand on common ground in their desire to create the finest Classic Salsa for the modern age by delivering incredible dance grooves and masterful arrangements of thoughtful, original material that successfully elevates the musical awareness of their audience, and always propels them to the dance floor.

Global Rhythm Magazine writes....
A tight cooking nine-piece ensemble, the band lays claim to the brassy Latin dance sound of the 70’s. Bio Ritmo represents the sentiments of a younger dance crowd searching beyond the jejune prescription and superficial flash of Latin pop.

The Beat Magazine writes....
They prove it is still possible to be true to the roots while expanding the parameters of their music in an intelligent thoughtful and entertaining way. We want more groups like Bio
Ritmo.

Exclaim! Magazine writes...
The passionate, unashamedly retro sound is fresh because the band captures the same verve as the original innovators. Somtimes they do make 'em like they use to.

Descarga.com writes...
Editor's Pick. Terrifick old-school salsa with trumpets & trombones and plenty of sabor and verve."
