PERNETT is coming strong as the face of Colombian folkloric music. A revolution within Colombia's traditional music scene, a more universal proposal that at the same time is closer to his roots.
EL MAGO ( the wizard) is PERNETT'S fourth release and it brings a new dimension to his music that the whole world will enjoy! The album was just released in Colombia.
EL MAGO integrates musicians and styles from Colombia's Caribbean and Pacific coasts, they come together to create true contemprorary Colombian music. Always emphasizing the human side of music, not the machine.
The album has the collaboration of great musicians such as Paul Dury and the string quartet of the Orquesta Filarmonica de Cali, in four of the tracks.
Hugo Candelario, emblematic maestro of Pacific folklore, brings his magic and marimba to "La Rumba Bacana", a sinlge that has already topped charts in Colombian radio.
EL MAGO also goes deep into the essence of Cumbia, traditional colombian rhythm, which has crossed borders and developed differently in countries such as Mexico and Argentina.
