A winner of the prestigious Kora Award, The Calabash Prize for Peace, The Pearl of Africa (Best Male Artist-Rwanda,and The International Songwriting Competition 1st Prize for his setting of Psalm 150. Samputu travels the world as a cultural ambassador for Rwanda, bringing to his audiences not only traditional African singing, dancing, and drumming, but also a message of peace and reconciliation.
