John B. Arnold, the volcanic drummer from New York City, now living in Rome, can boast a great many prestigious collaborations in Italy and abroad, brings the sound challenge of Logorhythms to the stage, together with an open trio. This is the most recent work of mixing jazz and the digital world, freely and without prejudices, in the search for a new
grammar and a new syntax of creativity.
The rhythmic textures and constant search for sophisticated sounds are the absolute protagonists, in a continual balance between the electronic and the acoustic, creating an astounding urban sound that uses so-called Club Music with subtle irony, (trance techno drum'n'bass), together with cult references and the enveloping atmospheres of the 1950's and 60's soundtracks (from Satie to Bartòk and Debussy, from Mancini to Bacharach and Morricone).
The entire process is manipulated with taste and measure thanks to the innovative and unprejudiced use of a laptop computer.
