Ernesto Holman (Vina del Mar, December 6, 1950) is a prominent bassist and Chilean composer. Member of the prestigious group of Latin American fusion Congress between 1980 and 1984, and several personal projects. It is known as one of the most important electric jazz fusion bassists and progressive rock of Chile, dedicated to implementing the bass as melodic instrument, plus rhythmic.

He delved into the worldview of the Mapuche world, inspired by the rhythmic sounds of the trutruka or kultrún to make electronic music "flesh and blood". Then there would compose on the staff, but directly on the electric bass and through computer software with which lifted her albums Namco (2003) and Al flight Namco (2005), dedicated to the sacred figure of the eagle. Holman recorded his third album in this line, Mari tripantu (2008), who greeted the ten years of its entry into the Mapuche community Kallfulikán. The latter included instruments like the trompe, the wada and kadkawilla, as well as the incorporation of several genuinely Mapuches musicians finally in 2010 released the album Reversals, with versions of songs on other albums and a new song, this was recorded with Gustavo Cerquerias, on piano and Dany Cheul on drums, this album stands out much closer to jazz than previous albums.
