This album is a project of Gülüs Gülcügil, who
spent most of her life traveling between Belgium
and Turkey. Gülüs always felt in between during
these journeys and this feeling influenced her
music. Her songs are at times rebellious,
sometimes taken over by nostalgia. The Turkish
media has described “In Betty Ween” as “an
experimental fusion of pop, jazz and rock,
influeced by ethnic music”.
