GIPSY al SON
It was born from the desire of Tony Cortés and Yoandy Armenteros, with the blessing of Pablo Reyes –elder brother of the Reyes, founders of the group The Gipsy Kings along with their cousins the Baliardo brothers– to create a new rhythm that will give more musical richness to the fusion of Rumba Gipsy with the authentic Cuban Son.

GIPSY al SON is made up of Gipsy musicians led by Tony Cortés, who in the last 15 years has accompanied Pablo Reyes on his international tours; and Cuban Son musicians, directed by Yoandy Armenteros.

This year comes out our new album titled Gipsy al Son, which contains the GIPSY sound with typical SON modes of expression. The album features new songs complemented by well-known Gipsy Kings songs, whose musical arrangements sound like our new rhythm called GipSon.
GIPSY al SON and its GipSon rhythm provide a new life and dimension to the Gipsy Rumba and the Latin Rhythms popularized by the famous and universal XAVIER CUGAT and PERET.
