Chotokoeu was born as a percussion band with the members Brais and Rubén in mid-2007. Gradually, more musicians were added into the project, thus beginning its journey through bars and festivals of Galicia.
It was in 2009 when they won the Galiza Crea contest, an event that reflects the path the band was following. The next years they would take their music into wide open bars and festivals of their region like Pardiñas, Millo Verde, Reperkusión, etc. Little by little, and without realizing it, a new musical family started taking form into a different and unique project.
