Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha (fake money) was founded 5 years ago, by 5 Lapland people, residing in Helsinki. The music is their very own blend of Balka grooves, Russian romances and old Finnish tango and humpa.
The orchestra has a reputation for being Finland’s best live band, and has toured extensively all over Eastern Europe, Russia, Germany, Turkey and more.
Today they play opening concert to Bjonko, creating a wild and exuberant party.
Wild Balkan Party with Bjonko, the masterly clarinetist from Macedonia. For more than 10 years, Bjonko has been leading the Balkan scene in Northern Europe. Tonight, he and his seven man orchestra are accompanied by the IKI choir.
This year, Bjonko released the album “Running Horses”, which has won much acclaim both in Gaffa and Soundvenue, and for three weeks was no. 1 on the Danish Itunes list.
The music ranges from fiery rhythms to melancholic melodies. Come dance and party!
