PERET recorded his first songs in the 50ties, not knowing that he was about to create a new musical genre: CATALAN RUMBA. His songs started travelling around the world as a fashion, developed into a musical genre and are now part of the collective memory of Latin music. A reference for various, and future, generations. Mambo, rock, flamenco and son shaped a young generation that worshipped Elvis Presley and Perez Prado.
