Echoes mythical voices which whisper the magic of aboriginal Canarian rituals. With her spiritual themes and preserving long-forgotten traditions, the spiritual riches and the heritage of her ancestors, LAVOZDETARA has managed to recreate the power of ritual through her hermaphrodite voice. Enigmatic, pulsating like Nature, a vibrating breath from Shaman. An spectacle where lines between musical performance and ancient ritual are blurred. A solemn message, a deep tribute to the ancient culture of Canary Island. As an overtone singer with a wide span of voice she can bring across an atmosphere from many voices, thousand years ago.A unique fusion of contemporary ethnic music with traditions rooted deep of history of the Canary Islands. To experience it, one must relax and prepare for a journey deep into one's very essence.

LVDT is sometimes primitive and ancestral, guttural and deep, evocative. She manipulates her voice to unimaginable limits, and her songs are fortified by the sounds of nature, the sea, the earth, the crackling of the fire, the wind, ... and the sound of animals ... which merge with electronic music, thus enriching the mystical sound.
In her compositions she uses authentic instruments of the rituals such as the bucio, drums, limpets, as well as bones, stones, pintaderas ... etc., endeavouring to recover the traditional sounds of this ancient society. Her lyrics, are mostly performed in the ancient language, with its magical meaning, capturing the magi-religious mentality of the time (legends, divinities, the structure of the universe, etc.)
Although LVDT’s music shares characteristics with music typically labelled as ancient ethnic, ethereal wave, neoclassic, pagan-folk, world, environment, new age, root, epic folk, healing, none of these genres can really describe her unique style. It has to be experienced to be understood.

BIOGRAPHY ELISA ML QUEVEDO LÓPEZ
Considered a prodigious voice, rarely found, with a range from top soprano to deep bass, her first artistic voice was in lyrical singing. Her roots are in the indigenous women of Gran Canaria, called Harimaguadas, a sacred cultural group who passed on the oral tradition. The desire to discover the mystery of her origins connected her to the magic-religious rituals of the ancient Canaries. There she realized that sounds used in rituals from different cultures have a unique origin. She began to deepen her study into the secret techniques and after many years of practice, managed to attain the so-called “impossible voices”, usually reserved for males. This refers to voices of Tibetan Buddhism, the harmonics of Mongolia, the Jungle voices and the Native Americans. This great cultural diversity of the 4 continents is perceived in the music of the Canarian composer and interpreter, resulting in a moving enigmatic voice full of magic.
