Sound of Mint founded in 2017, is an exciting collaboration between DJ/producer FADEL LAHLOU and master percussionist and film composer, JOEL PELLEGRINI.
Their collaboration led them to create a new musical concept fusing electronic music and atypical acoustic/analogic instruments.
Sound of Mint has collaborated with world-renowned African & World Music musicians such as Samba Diabaté, Abou Diarra, Mbemba Diabaté, Sami Chaouki, and Marta Lunares releasing more than 15 original tracks on some of the most prestigious international Afro-House & Electro-Ethnic record labels such as Madorasindahouse (Greece), AltOrient (Canada), Camel Riders Records (Israel), Medina Records (Morocco).
Their mystical, captivating, traditional, and avant-garde original music has received phenomenal support from the biggest names in the electronic music scene such as Black Coffee, Adam Port, Blond:ish, Laurent Garnier, Acid Pauli, Nick Warren, Sabo naming a few; allowing them to tour more than 150 shows across France, Morocco, Canada, and Angola.
This vibrant & energetic duo can be described as a colorfully orchestrated electro-ethnic live performance with both surprising and enchanting improvisations inspired by World Music & North, Sub- Saharan African musical traditions.
