Ethereal. Enlightening. Medicine for the soul. Aliza Hava (aleeza hah-vuh) is an award-winning singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who sings truth to power. Her dynamic voice and driving rhythms create a unique signature aesthetic. Through her artistry, Aliza invites listeners on a profound journey of self-discovery, whether through haunting ballads that tug at heartstrings or uplifting anthems that ignite the spirit. With her instinctive fusion of indie folk-rock, pop, and R&B, her music is often described as a harmonious blend of poetic storytelling and soul-stirring compositions.

Aliza's music carries a message of resilience, empowering listeners to embrace their inner strength and face life's challenges head-on. Seeking solace from a difficult childhood, she turned to music at an early age. Self-taught on a twenty-dollar used guitar, she found inspiration in an old songbook she discovered in her parents’ basement, 'Great Songs of the 60s.' She immersed herself in the music and culture of that era, which ignited a drive to write songs that speak to the times and uplift the human spirit. Her lyrics weave tales of love, loss, personal growth, and social change, evoking a kaleidoscope of emotions that resonate on a profound level. With each performance, she weaves a tapestry of hope and unity, reminding us that we are never alone in our struggles.

Featured on the soundtrack of Sharon Stone’s award-winning documentary, Femme: Women Healing the World, Aliza is also a recipient of the Human Spirit Award presented by the international organization Talent for Humanity. Her story is featured in their book along with seven other internationally acclaimed artists/activists.

Her upcoming album, Into the Light, is set for release in Spring 2024 and features ten songs that take the listener on a musical journey from “trauma to triumph.” The thematic album is a hero’s journey that encompasses the process of going from the depths of internal darkness to facing the challenges necessary in order to heal and overcome traumatic experiences. Produced by multi-platinum, Grammy winner Mikal Blue, who is best known for his work with Colbie Callait, Jason Mraz, and OneRepublic, the tracks feature Dean Dinning of Toad the Wet Sprocket as musical arranger/bass/keys, and rock legend Gregg Bissonette (Ringo Starr, Santana) on drums.

Aliza has performed at music festivals and venues around the world and has shared bills with Michael Franti, Zac Brown Band, Rising Appalachia, Dr. John, Loreena McKennit, and more. She has performed in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Ireland, Morocco, Jordan, Israel/Palestine, Italy, India, South Korea, and at the United Nations in New York City.
