During the course of their twelve-year run as a klezmer band, Ot Azoj have become more and more fascinated by the oriental melodies that pervade this music. Always looking for new melodies to incorporate into their sound, they followed the trail of the klezmorim who travelled to Constantinople during the early 1900s and who were inspired by the many different musical styles from across the Ottoman Empire.
Ot Azoj Klezmer Band will take you beyond the final stop of the Orient Express, Istanbul, on a journey around the Caspian Sea, and brings you an exciting crossover of past and present, of klezmer and oriental music from Central-Asia, in their own playful style.
