Akawui, a singer-songwriter hailing from Quebec with Chilean and Mapuche Indigenous roots, embarked on a musical journey at a young age. Akawui merges many tribal musical genres including; Cumbia, First Nations and Andean music along with the contemporary sound of Hip-Hop, blending tribal and modern together. His sound is rich in percussion, carrying an electronic punch while being anchored in folkloric tradition.
