Singer and composer Mateus Aleluia developed his musical career between Brazil (in the 1960s) and Angola (in the 1980s). Returning to Brazil in the 2000s, he resumed his work in an acclaimed solo career. Aleluia, O Canto Infinito do Tincoã follows the imaginary world created by Mateus' unique mixture music, religious rituals and way-of-life. Aleluia is a truly inspiring character – reaching his creative peak at 77 years old and gaining more and more public and critical acclaim in Brazil and across the world.
Tenille Bezerra is a filmmaker and executive producer who has been active in the audiovisual market for the past 17 years. Tenille is also a poet and his first book, rumor, was released in 2017 by the publisher Moinhos.
Tenille Bezerra will be present at WOMEX 21.
