As National Sawdust heads into its fifth season, the dynamic, non-profit music venue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is at the forefront of providing musicians with the tools they need to create extraordinary music and audience experiences. Join National Sawdust founder (and composer) Paola Prestini and executive director Courtenay Casey in conversation with John Pellowe of Meyer Sound, the company whose Constellation acoustic system “helped to make classical music a more mobile, adaptable beast, one that is freer to roam the entire cultural landscape” (Alex Ross, The New Yorker). They will discuss how new technologies in sound – from flexible acoustics to immersive, live spatial mixing – can fuel artistic creativity and new forms of musical expression.
