Markscheider Kunst are from St.Petersburg, Russia. The band is playing afro-rock and fiery fusion of Soukous, while obviously being influenced by the Caribbean music, namely: ska, raggae and afro-cuban. They are splendid performers, notorious for forcing the gloomy bouncers in Moscow clubs and Finnish seen-it-all audiences into steady jamming.
The band was founded in 1992 and since 1997 it is busy with different club concerts both in Russia and abroad. Among the places it has visited this year we can name Germany, Finland, Denmark where the band became popular.
