Newfoundland has strong historical, social, and musical
connections with Ireland and England. Living in the many
isolated bays and coves that make up the coastline of the
province, music, songs, stories and dances were a primary
source of entertainment for these hard working people; and
because of this isolation the culture that had been brought to
these shores from England and Ireland developed its own unique
identity.
For many years Jim and Fergus have been touring together
throughout the world performing and promoting the culture of
their province. As they travel they take every opportunity to
bring a little piece of their unique province. Through the use of
songs, dramatised stories, music and dance they give any
audience the opportunity to be exposed to the rich cultural
heritage of the most easterly province in Canada.
