At the early age of 30 Marcelo Nisinman has already proved to be one of the most outstanding bandoneonists of his generation. Not only his playing reveals sensitivity and power, but also a strong artistic process. The music that he composes and arranges himself shows a constant and undeniable savoir-faire.
Astor Piazzolla used to say about him that he would be the “future of bandoneon” and that the future belonged to the “audacious”. Marcelo Nisinman is surely one of them. He traces his own unique and original path by drawing from the inexhaustible source of inspiration of tango.

TRIO CIUDAD

Marcelo Nisinman, bandoneon, arrangements and compositions
Catherine Coquet, horn and oboe - Eric Chalan, double basse

This very uncommon trio was created in 1999 by three young and talented musicians who were driven by the same immoderate love for arts.
The combining of those three new tones, which try to break the rules of traditional tango without losing its essence brings out a new form of music. With those unusual instruments, the trio has managed to reach new borders extending the links between Buenos Aires’ and Europe’s cultural history.
The use of horn is a world premiere ! Their innate complicity on a repertoire made of Nisinman remarkably arranged traditional tangos and most enthusiastic personal compositions is probably the reason of their large public success.

Tango Orkestret, created in 1988, is a five young musician band that has been exploring new musical ways by taking their inspiration from Astor Piazzolla and the new generation of Argentinean tango. Since 1998, their repertoire is essentially made of traditional tangos, rearranged in an original and unconventional way by Marcelo Nisinman.
Their music swings between precise arrangements and choruses that allow the soloists to develop all the different nuances in tango and by mixing them with other musical genres as jazz, pop-rock and traditional western music.
They show a lot of spontaneity, ardor and rousing energy.
From one piece to another does their music go from deep melancholy to wild madness.
Their album is the living proof of a genuine identity they have built up by themselves and from now on, we shall count on it.
