The Roots released THE SEED, 2.0 - a song left un-touched on their A&R's office desk - back in 2001 on The Phrenology album.
The song was written, recorded and sung by Cody ChessnuTT who also features on the hook in The ROOTS versio of the song.
It is said that this is the tune ROLLING STONES never wrote.
After being silent for 10 years Cody ChessnuTT is now back in full effect. 2 european tours incl a slot w Larry Graham & Bootsy Collins at this years Montreaux Jazz Festival, 2 Paris shows, festival appearences in Austria, Germany & Finland. He is in demand. Cody will tour march and summer of 2012 with his totally " in the pocket " and lovable 10 piece band. havent heard any soul band sound this good since James Brown at Lone Star Cafe back in 1985 ( his old band ). And I have heard a lot !!!!!!!!! Highly recommended.
