Born in Bafia in the West of Cameroon, Simon NWAMBEBEN came back to France to take up the position of Musical Director for the Compagnie Royal de Luxe, who he has traveled the world with. Then, fed by the bantou rhythms and bafia traditions he got on with the project he had long wanted to create – the production of a show based on his own story and country. To do this he invented his own musical style, the bitibak. It reached out to people, touching hearts and curing the ills of modern life. His first album came out in 2006, with the support of Ray LEMA.
With this effective and sophisticated musical expression, he takes us deep into his universe of poetry and humanity, into the trance of his origins. Once on African soil we see local dances and hear village songs....
