"I am leaving mother, if I do not return, my soul will be a word to all poets.
With his new album "Agora", Chet Nuneta has created a repertoire steeped in humanity. Still at the border between world music and contemporary music and using a chosen mix, the group continues its musical journey by following a common thread that has always been common to all societies: migration. Chet Nuneta sings about migration. Poetry, idioms, rhythms and voices bear witness to life courses, thus evoking empathy and dialogue between peoples. The subject of migration is approached with all that it contains of nostalgia, tragedy sometimes, dreams and hope often.

Chet Nuneta questions here the attachment to a territory and its culture, the freedom or coercion to leave it, the welcome and curiosity of the "other". The origins of its members, their human, musical and literary encounters, their reactions to the world and to current events have nourished the creation of songs in Reunionese Creole, Kurdish, Japanese, Portuguese, Xhosa, English, Berber, Neapolitan, Arabic, Spanish and Bulgarian.
AGORA, is a musical exploration made of unpublished songs written and composed by the members of the group as well as by Juliette Zolkau-Roussille (ex-Chet Nuneta). The group also collaborated with Sibongile M'mambo (xhosa singer and percussionist) to produce a title.
Agora is a committed, poetic, intense and sensitive album where voice and percussion transport us to a territory free of geographical and cultural barriers.
