After the awarded compilation "Beyond Istanbul" Underground Grooves Of Turkey, the queen of Eklektik Berlinİstan, Ipek Ipekcioglu, presents BEYOND ISTANBUL 2 - URBAN SOUNDS OF TURKEY.

BEYOND ISTANBUL 2 includes different musical styles of Turkey, and seduces to dance,
showing a Turkey, that includes a subculture and Überculture, plays with kitch and kliches and transmits political and social critiques. Taking you through a range of emotions. It is a typical work by Ipek: Eclectic and dynamic.

On the one hand this album consists of soul, hiphop, trip-hop, Balkan, Tango, Rock, belly dance songs, chancons and electronica while keeping a traditional base. On the other hand, without going into the ubiquitous music on the market, Beyond Istanbul 2 takes music from Istanbul's subcultures as well as traditional groups - putting them all together. The compilation contains Dj Ipek Ipekcioglu's elektro-remix of the band Baba Zula.
The compilation includes a booklet in German, English and Turkish (by Murat Meric and Martin Greve - both from Istanbul).
