Petropoulos, Alexandra
Writer and former editor of Songlines Magazine
Hi! I’m Alexandra, a copy editor, proofreader, journalist, fiction writer, copy writer, ethnomusicologist and consultant… and just in case that isn’t enough, I like to dabble in stand-up comedy and am professional musician and music teacher. I like to think that makes me well-rounded. You might even call me a ‘renaissance woman,’ but I didn’t say it, you did.
I have over 10 years of editing experience, having previously been the editor and deputy editor of Songlines Magazine. I am available to work with copy at any point along its process, whether that's writing copy for your promotional material, editing to help whip your copy into shape or proofreading to make sure that it's airtight.
My journalism has appeared in several publications including The Guardian, Songlines, The Strad and Wanderlust and my fiction has been published in The Mechanics’ Institute Review and Sunburnt Saints: A Seventy2One Anthology.
