Barbara Furtuna

Barbara Furtuna is a Corsican vocal group comprised of four men, founded in 2001.

Each singer has mastered his art by performing in various Corsican bands from a young age. The group has adopted a centuries old Polyphonic sound, inspired by traditional chant with a creative contemporary twist; the product of years of experience and a quest for new harmony.

Barbara Furtuna's repertoire moves through the island's dynamic variety of chants invoking emotions ranging from intimacy, power, sensuousness and virility. The singers' inspiration is deeply rooted in the traditional homeland, but also turns towards the new century, always evolving and dynamic.

The chant is based in the Sacred. Barbara Furtuna's Corsican polyphony similarly touches the heart and soul by its sincerity, lightness and originality.

Through their music and stories, the singers take the audience on a thrilling emotional voyage, awakening the forgotten emotions of the human experience.
