Electric Brother is Cristian Stefãnescu. He has studied classical guitar, played with different acid jazz/ house bands in Romania and in 1999 he began working on his solo project called “Electric Brother” – trip-hop, downtempo, chill-out. His influences vary from folk music to dub, from the 70’s jazz rock to contemporary classical music.
The first release concert of his self-titled debut album took place in one of the most prestigious jazz festivals in Europe - The Montreux Jazz Festival – where Electric Brother was invited to play in the opening night.
The debut album was released in Romania at La Strada Music on the 11th of July 2003, in Japan/Asia at Ward Records (May 2004).
