Clann Records was founded in 2001 in response to a cry from developing Irish artist signed to Clann's sister company SMA Ireland (an artist development & management company). Artist who although signed to a record company and even after having achieved reasonable success in Ireland, found their albums rarely made it on to the shelves of stores in territories beyond Ireland, and when they did they received little or no help by way of promotion from their Labels.



From its foundation Clann Records have worked tirelessly to open new territories and establishing new partnerships and distribution for their artist.

Clann Records bring the cream of the worlds artists to Womex 05.



This is Clann's first year participating at Womex 05 and we are looking for new partnerships and outlets for our roster which includes performances by Canada's Juno nominee, Mike Plume and the superb voice of English singer songwriter Kezi Silverstone, Irish singer songwriters Neil White.
