LTE was started in Cape Town, South Africa with main interests in Cape Music. The company is jointly run from Hamburg, Germany where music publishing and distribution activities are concentrated.

The firm also manages and tours some of their acts. Present priorities are THE DIZU PLAATJIES IBUYAMBO ENSEMBLE who showcased at WOMEX, THE CAPE JAZZ BAND and THE SCHALK JOUBERT THREE CONTINENTS SEXTET.

All Mountain Records label releases are issued in Europe via New Music Distribution and southern Africa by EMI.

Through Templit LTD we offer tour management for signed acts and for world music artists wishing to be released in Germany or South Africa. An example is the award winning Maskandi group, IMITHENTE from Zululand and the duo Natascha Roth and James Scholfield.

An agency project has been launched in 2009 to represent World, Jazz, Blues and Folk artists in S E Asia - www.music-production-ideas.com

LTE has an historic involvement in music distribution of CDs and now provides a service to indie labels with a World Music repertoire base to have their music CDs distributed in the EU and through digital dowload.
