The VilagVeleje Production is the cover name of a group of people who are significant members of the cultural life of Budapest and Hungary. For ten years we have been working together with the most impressive Hungarian and international artists. Through the past years we gained unexampled appreciation in the field. We deserved this with collecting a professional crew around us and organising events of the highest standards. Our main profile is concert and festival organisation, full management and transaction of art festivals.

Our base for eight years has been is Gödör Klub in Erzsébet tér which is the biggest club in the heart of the city and home of cultural events, cult name for the Hungarian youth. Thanks to the utstanding
location it gave place for many great international joint organisational programmes and with time the number of such events will increase. We organised a number of events together with the Italian and French cultural institutes, we operate the New York Jazzgödör series on a monthly basis with one overseas and one Hungarian artist performing each time. We organise the festival that gave us our name with unbroken success for more than ten years. The organisation of the biggest Hungarian Gipsy Festival, the Athe Sam is linked to us, the goal of which is to bring closer the Hungarian and Gipsy cultures to each other. The Performance Festival is organised in our club for several years which is not happening only on the inside stages but also outside in the surrounding squares creating an interactive space for the surprised passers-by. We also host talent contests; the R33 group (independent music community) also held their talent contest at our club, together with them we organise the Day of the Hungarian Song that has grown to a national level and is an exciting program for everyone from teenagers to older generations.

We collaborated with other organiser teams on outside locations as well (Sziget Fesztivál, Bánkitó Fesztivál…), we provide space for self introduction for several civil organisations (Greenpeace, amnesty International…), and we are open to any kinds of new and exciting initiatives. In our gallery specially designed for this purpose we regularly host exhibitions of acclaimed artists just as well as those of young talents. Our production with its increasing database is also operating as a cultural agency thus providing a place to meet for claims and offers.

Apart from the Hungarian alternative, jazz, blues, rock bands we also brought several international stars to Budapest (Suzanne Vega, CocoRosie, Sergent Garcia, Bonobo, Erik Truffaz...), even for these concerts we aim to keep the entrance fees on an affordable level for all young fans and whenever we can we ask no entrance fee for our programmes.
