Hispanico Numen is an instrumental ensemble with a direct and highly personal vision of music which, because of its variety of influences, is not easily defined. If anything, it could possibly be called crossover, being primarily contemporary but influenced by different musical disciplines such as flamenco, jazz, rock and classical music.

In their varied repertoire, several different musical paths intertwine to create an exciting new sound. First and foremost, is an exceptionally personal approach based on their own compositions.

The ensemble has played at major international music festivals such as the sixth edition of Sonidos de la biodiversidad de Castellon (2003), the Flamenco Biennial in Seville (2004), the 2004 Festival for Culture and the Arts (Philippines) , the Melbourne Spring Early Music Festival 2006 ( Australia), and the 12th edition of Flamenco Pfefferberg 2007 (Berlin). They have also perfomed to great public and critical acclaim at different venues in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, China, Australia, Israel, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao, Indonesia, Syria, Egypt, Jordan and Cameroon.

Composers such as Hermeto Pascoal and Jovino Santos Neto have dedicated some of their works to the Ensemble Hispanico Numen.
