Nominated for best flamenco album Latin Grammy 2023.

Juanfe Pérez (1986) is a bassist, guitarist, composer and music producer. He studied classical guitar at the Javier Perianes Professional Conservatory in Huelva; flamenco guitar at the Rafael Orozco Superior Conservatory in Córdoba; and World Music at Codarts DMWC, Rotterdam (NL). However, as a result of infinite curiosity and a broad musical culture, Juanfe traveled from the guitar to the bass to delve into a long investigation of this instrument in flamenco. Thus, he has found his own language and technique, which he has been developing while collaborating on different projects and composing his own sound imagery. Finally, he has captured his entire journey with the bass in his first album, Prohibido el Toque, a project in which he composed, arranged, and produced all the songs.

Furthermore, in his role as producer and musical arranger, the albums Mar de Cobre, by the singer Cristina Soler, and Ser de Luz, by the flutist Sergio de Lope, stand out. He has also composed music for companies of dance figures such as Cía Olga Pericet and Cía Rafaela Carrasco, Cía Sara Calero. He has also been the musical director and composer of the show Comadres, by Cía Ana Pastrana.

His artistic career develops on stages around the world with top-level artists such as Farruquito, Diego Amador, Duquende, Rosario la Tremendita, Jorge Pardo, Montse Cortés, Olga Pericet, Belén López, José Manuel León, Raul Rodríguez, Çenc Erdogan, Jose Antonio Rodríguez, Javier Ruibal, Antílopez, Diego Guerrero, Canteca de Macao, Antonio Mesa, Juan Pérez, Sergio de Lope, Alfonso Aroca, Antonio Lizana, Karen Lugo, Robertinho Silva, Daniel Navarro, El Junco, Eduardo Trassierra, Mario Díaz, Manuel Malou, among others.
