Sardar Khan is a versatile singer, a master and respected in the music fraternity of Rajasthani folk. Born and brought up in the village of Lakhe ki Dhani in Barmer, he got his training from a very young age under the tutelage of his father, Late Alauddin Langa. He started his international visits since 1999, with a one-month tour to Russia. In 2000 he joined the musical group MUSAFIR and until 2012 he travelled across the world to present Langa music. His traditional knowledge has been passed on to his brothers and his next generation. His son Mehbub Khan is also a young talent with an extraordinary voice. Sardar and his group presents traditional folk music of western Rajasthan based on different context like marriage, child birth, different rituals and ballads.
