This "becoming larger than life" on stage that pipers have. This "here I am" attitude. This arrogance. Budino has it. He looks good, standing there. He's free. He looks up, gazes in the distance, sets the course and sails away. Through the fishing nets and the airports. Laying down the bottom trawls. Travelling abroad. Nothing is new to him. (Sotaque Carlos Blanco).
Sotaque (2013) Fol Musica New Album
Sotaque is the new album by Budino. It was recorded in his own studio "Ardora" and mixed and mastered in the "Atlantico Blue Studios" in Lisbon. This self-composed work reflects the imprint of traditional music and especially Galician percussion, always played and polished by hand, along with the use of electronics with the distinctive accent of Budino, his sotaque. A concept album where the different bagpipes, percussions and Galician voices are in charge of setting the pace over nine songs composed by Budino and a traditional piece full of subtlety and vitality.
Friends invited to Budino's Sotaque recording create in the particular atmosphere drawing hundreds of percussive layers;

* The traditional singers CANTAREIROS DE O FIADEIRO sing and play the pandeiretas in the only cover song from Galician tradition, where Budino's bagpipe becomes another voice of the group of cantareiros.
* MICHAEL MCGOLDRICK with his magic flute from Manchester, plays a muineira that entitles Budinos's new album, Sotaque.
