The group's name refers both to a well known composition of Brazilian composer Edu Lobo and to the African island with strong Indian cultural influences. With a unique lineup: two guitars, two percussions - including an Indian tabla. Zanzibar makes a synthesis of Brazilian music and world music (with the percussions referring directly to Africa and India).
