Reggae Baje Vol 2
Reggae is Love

“To love is to live”

Infectious rhythms and soothing vocals are accompanied by positive lyrics that read like a musical bestseller on the second serving of the Zion Roots reggae compilation 'Reggae is Love'.

Hit after hit is delivered by a new generation of Barbadian reggae artistes.
The starting point for the new talents is Vizion's underground hit ”Girl I need you” which haunting song has a hot new video, Red Star Lion who delivers with a unique intonation the heavily rotated song 'You are the One'. Hotta Flames, Barbados's resident lovers rock man with DJ favorite 'Girls need more than sex', Melody Man, who has been a favorite on the Barbados reggae scene for many years asks the question' Where is the love?' A powerful but a humble message with 'Simplicity' from Ras Al-I who was nominated as Best new Artist at last year’s BMA, Omar "Eveready" Mcquilkin who found his “Perfect match” with sweet melodies indeed, Daniel’s first single “ Come Away” a dedication to his African Princess and a song that remains in your consciousness, Storm Thrilla’s one of a kind “alibi” to demonstrate his love, Bajan beauty the long legged big voiced Ayana John who penned and sings 'Guns and Roses' , a powerful collaboration between Sister K and Mickey General with “Higher level while Trio Psycho, Madd Dog and Nick Carter delivers an emotional message with “What I gonna do”, Ring the Alarm… local club band Red Alarm ask ' What's the problem' while Reggae Jamaican artist Leon Danger who was “not so lucky” on his first single, now “ Thank you lord” as he found his new wife. Rounding off the collection is reggae spiritual 'Final Warriors' from Lion Rastafari Guide aka LRG.

Reggae is Love touches on different stages of the experience of love, providing the listener with a relatable love story. Love and music are the universal language.

"To Love is to Live", at Zion Roots Music, we live and love reggae Music. Our vision for this album was to release a collection of Love songs. Our thoughts are that Love is universal, and Love songs make people feels good and happy" said A&R for Zion Roots Music, Anies Jordan. There are so many talented Artists in Barbados, but a lack of opportunities for them; we hope that with the support of the local fans and DJ's we can continue to break new talent in Barbados. We worked with various Barbadian producers including Paul Murrell, KB Sharp, Papa T. Al Lawrence, Dale Husbands and Matthew Thomas and together with them and the Artists we are committed in creating a vibrant reggae scene out of Barbados.
