Tremendous guitar player, Jacques Pellen destroyed barriers between celtic musics and jazz. His big band project Celtic Procession has become the symbol of Breton new music. He has been perfoming and recording for 30 years with famous jazzmen such as Riccardo Del Fra, Kenny Wheeler, Paolo Fresu, Henri Texier...while strongly involved in many breton creations (Heritage des Celtes). Inspired by Barzaz Breizh ancient repertoire and by unpublished compositions by the harpist Kristen Nogues, he creates with the traditional breton singer Annie Ebrel, Ar Rannou / Les Series and invites the rock quartet One Shot in collaboration with the Malguenac Festival. In parallel, Jacques Pellen presents his new album in trio with Karim Ziad and Etienne Callac.
