“On the Wind” is the second CD of the cellist Yiorgos Kaloudis and one of the latest quality productions of DNA Label. His unique compositions are enriched thanks to the participations of seven distinct artists; on the saxophone is Steve Tavaglione, one of the leading contemporary interpreters on the worldwide jazz scene ("American Beauty"," Ocean's Eleven"), Sylvan Richardson on the 6-string electric bass (former bass player for Andy Sheppard and Simply Red), and Ruth Hill introduces to the jazz scene the kanun (a Middle-Eastern instrument). Last but not least, Sotiris Lemonidis is on the piano and Mike Kapilidis on drums. A special participation of Alkinoos Ioannidis in the recomposition for cello and voice,"Spasmeno II", by Yiorgos Kaloudis, based on the lyrics of Alkinoos' original song, "Spasmeno" is also included.The result of this collaboration is as we like to call, music for an invisible film.
