FILM : Laya Film Project Screening and Presentation (India)
The Laya Film Project is a collection of recordings taken from musicians affected by the 2004 tsunami in the regions of Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Maldives, Myanmar and India. The project is based on regional folk music traditions which are tied into a composition that embarks on a visual and musical journey crossing borders, while preserving the music of the people.
