Ghanaian-born, New York-based rapper, slamming conscious poetry on jamming Afro-soul grooves.
Blitz the Ambassador spins tales of the struggle for love and dignity, the trials of emigre alienation and the shadows cast by history, all set to swirls of brass, distorted guitars, and the crackle of old amplifiers. The Ghanaian-born, New York-based MC, composer, and producer unleashes psychedelic afrobeat colours and triple-time rhymes sparked in Accra yet forged in the African diaspora, where Fela meets Chuck D and highlife meets hip-hop. Hearing Public Enemy at school in Ghana was the catalyst that awoke his poetic talents. Later, studying in the USA, he began to meld the disparate influences he had grown up with, learning to rap in 6/8 time, riffing on old r&b and Ethiopian funk. Now with his self-produced album and the remarkable short film Native Sun, he's on his way to invade your consciousness.
