Pascal Schumacher, born in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and currently living and working in Luxembourg and Brussels, is a confirmed representative of the new generation of jazz musicians and holds master degrees in musicology of the University "Marc Bloch" of Strasbourg (F) and in jazz music at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of The Hague (NL).
He is a composer, vibraphone player and band leader of his own 4tet.
Pascal is further co leading a Duo with Jef Neve (Universal Music Artist) a real acrobatic poet on the grand piano. Jef was, until June 2008, as well a member of the Pascal Schumacher 4tet and contributed largely to the success of the band.
In august 2004, Pascal Schumacher Quartet wins the First Prize as well as the Public Prize at the famous Tremplin Jazz Avignon (F) and in november 2005, he wins the belgian Django d'Or Award in the category "New Talent".
