This ingenious ensemble brings to our
attention traditional Piedmontese and
Provençal airs as well as more well known
tunes, relying on the experience and technical
mastery of first-class artists from each cultural
tradition.
On one hand, we find Maurizio Martinotti,
founder and leader for more than twenty years
of La Ciapa Rusa, a milestone of italian folk
music. On the Provençal side there is Renat
Sette, eclectic singer endowed with a warm,
powerful and bursting voice, able to act as a
baritone as well as a countertenor. He has
worked with several artists such as guitarist
Pierre Bonnet and author/arranger/mandoline
player Patrick Vaillant.
Martinotti and Sette are accompanied, in the
development of this project, by three
remarkable talents who have played in the
most interesting bands of the Italian and
French traditional scene.
