Fira Mediterrània celebrate 30 years of Gelabert-Azzopardi, opening with the mythical Belmonte and an exhibition about the company.
Choreographer and dancer Cesc Gelabert will be the guest artist at this year's Fira Mediterrània of Manresa, which will be held from 4 to 7 November 2010. Under this year's slogan of "movement", the Fira Mediterrània will pay homage to the 30th anniversary of the Gelabert-Azzopardi Dance Company with an exhibition and opening the fair with the show Belmonte, one of the company's most emblematic works and, indeed, of the history of dance in Spain. Furthermore, choreographer Cesc Gelabert and Lydia Azzopardi will also prepare a dance laboratory aobut the evolution of the sardana (a traditional Catalan circle dance) over the course of history.
