an extensive and prolific career in Colombia, Martina is considered to be one of the most important figures of the TAMBORA: a unique genre of music from the Caribbean Colombian coast that can be summarized as having a mixture of African, European, and Indigenous influences.
Martina plays live traditional musical rhythms such as bullerengue,Chande, and chalupas makes her show a unique experience and a musical journey through the more traditional music of the Colombian coasts.
The voice of this versatile singer has crossed borders, representing Colombia in Mexico, Italy, Beirut, Cairo and Spain. In 2009, Martina
Camargo recorded "Singing, Pole and Leather" as a solo artist , and interpreted three songs her father ,Cayetano Camargo wrote. He has been her biggest musical influence. This musical work was selected as one of the 10 best productions of 2010 in Colombia and was nominated for several awards including the SHOK 2011 award.
